U-Turns: Luna’s Living Kitchen – North Carolina
As CLAWtheory has hit the road, we’ve made some happy discoveries and encountered some wonderful veg dining experiences and terrific people. Since current estimates suggest that only about 7% of the U.S. population maintains a vegetarian or vegan diet, we’re willing to make U-Turns when we find places as cool as Luna’s Living Kitchen in Charlotte, North Carolina! Thank you for cooking with compassion and helping the 7% crowd feel 100% connected.
Luna’s Living Kitchen offers a hip modern take on vegan eats with a menu that combines equal parts of creativity, tasty indulgence, and nutrient rich foods. It’s worth noting that their fine attention to detail is evident throughout, whether in the stunning presentations or carefully selected ingredients. Those with food sensitivities will also appreciate their careful attention to listing ingredients. Everything we sampled was elegantly served and delightful. Their philosophy spreading love with food is evident in every scrumptious bite.
Did we mention the sleek modern vibe? Luna’s establishes a harmony of flavors and experiences, with fresh takes on their raw menu items and fresh juices. Everything from the locally sourced menu to the tasteful atmosphere is a uniquely balanced combination of elements. Simultaneously upscale, comfortable, and casually chic – a visit to Luna’s Living Kitchen will leave you feeling nourished and indulged.
In addition to a great cafe with ample outdoor seating, Luna’s Living Kitchen offers some surprising raw versions of familiar favorites. You’ll feel like you’re indulging in something forbidden, but the food is as healthy as it is beautiful. Yes – you’re going to love it. You’re going to take your friends here. You’re going to be back. We sure will!
If you’re looking for a place to join family & friends for you’ll be grateful for a visit to Luna’s Living Kitchen. This fine establishment has certainly made our travels happier and we think they’ve made the world a nicer place, too. One taste of this delightfully inspired cuisine and maybe your non-veg friends and family may make a veg life U-Turn, too.
About U-Turns
Though one recent poll suggests there are more than 7 million vegetarians/vegans in the U.S., it’s easy to feel isolated when you’re part of (roughly) 7% of the population. One recent report revealed that “a large majority of former vegetarians/vegans (63%) said that they disliked that their diet made them stick out from the crowd.” That inspired CLAWtheory to give a big thanks to some of the awesome people and places we’ve discovered on the road who are making veg life better, and U-Turns was born.
While we have enjoyed veg meals at many veg-friendly establishments, the U-Turns list is restricted to vegetarian and vegan restaurants. While we appreciate veg-friendly menus, food that’s made by and for veg folks is usually off the happy charts. This list is not intended as a complete guide or as a review – we haven’t been everywhere (and probably won’t get everywhere). We simply want to offer a deeply heartfelt thank you to the places and folks we’ve found and are excited to share.
