U-Turns: Three Carrots – Indiana
Entering an indoor food mall and marketplace, you may not expect to find a vegan option on a menu, let alone an establishment dedicated to vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Three Carrots in the heart of Indianapolis’ City Market is another Meatless Monday destination the folks at CLAWtheory are excited to share.
With an emphasis on locally available produce and baked goods, Three Carrots’ delightful plant-based cuisine offers a range of specialty soups, sandwiches, soups, salads, and more. The kid-friendly menu also offers plenty of familiar options for the younger vegetarians in the crowd, and even grown up guests will enjoy the “adult PBJ,” which offers tasty adventures with more exotic jams. With yummy, satisfying grilled sandwiches and hearty soups, everything at Three Carrots is loaded with equal parts fresh veggies and inspiration.
Three Carrots has earned local and national praise: voted Best of Indy in both Vegetarian Restaurant and Best New Restaurant in Nuvo, as well as being ranked among the 20 best vegetarian restaurants in the U.S. by BuzzFeed. Three Carrots’ plant-based menu serves up nutritious and innovative food that is destined to keep you coming back.
Three Carrots – where the heartland never had more heart!
If you’re looking for a place to join family & friends for a visit to Three Carrots is sure to delight the whole crowd, so make a U-Turn and check it out.
About U-Turns
Though one recent poll suggests there are more than 7 million vegetarians/vegans in the U.S., it’s easy to feel isolated when you’re part of (roughly) 7% of the population. One recent report revealed that “a large majority of former vegetarians/vegans (63%) said that they disliked that their diet made them stick out from the crowd.” That inspired CLAWtheory to give a big thanks to some of the awesome people and places we’ve discovered who make veg life better, and U-Turns was born.
While we appreciate the effort of veg-friendly establishments, the U-Turns list is restricted to vegetarian and vegan restaurants, we’ve found that food made by and for vegetarians & vegans is usually off the happy charts. This list is not intended as a complete guide, but as an expression of heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful places and folks we’ve found.
