U-Turns: Meatless Mondays and the Veg Life
Though one recent poll suggests there are more than 7 million vegetarians/vegans in the U.S., it’s easy to feel isolated when you’re part of about 7% of the population. One recent report revealed that “a large majority of former vegetarians/vegans (63%) said that they disliked that their diet made them stick out from the crowd.” That inspired CLAWtheory to give a big thanks to some of the awesome people, places, & things that make veg life better; so U-Turns was born.
The choice to go veg could be based on ethical, religious, environmental, nutrition, or other reasons, yet it’s easy to feel isolated if few people within your immediate circle of friends and family share your beliefs. From grassroots activism, international campaigns to compassionate shopping, and more, CLAWtheory’s U-Turns is a shout out to some of our favorite resources.
